Hi guys, my name is patrick and I'm a total Scout newb. I just picked up a 63 Scout 80 from California and while it has surface rust it's amazingly solid and clean. Couple of questions. I took it for a short spin around he block and it has an unnerving floating feeling despite having new shocks and springs front and back. The other thing I noticed is that the clutch May be slipping as the engine revs but it doesn't seem to go anywhere. Although that May be an adjustment or a new slave cylinder, which I have. I bought the manual so I have that. Your expertise and advice is greatly appreciated.

Looks like a nice Scout with some California sun patina. If I were you, I would check all the fuel lines and replace the filter if necessary. Plus do a look around on the Scout such as getting it on a lift and doing some general maintenance on the vehicle.
