New clutch pedal link wanted

Hi,
I'm looking for a new, reproduction, or nos (but not used) clutch pedal link. As far as I know they were only used on the 68 pickups with a manual transmission and hydraulic clutch. (but its possible they were used on a lot of other applications too).
Thanks.
Steve

what's wrong w/used /?
Hi,
I've got two used ones now, and the hole in both of them is so worn over sized that that one pivot point alone causes an inch of free-play in the clutch pedal travel. So now I'm looking for a new one.
I could always have a machine shop drill out and press in a bushing, but that sounds unnecessarily expensive for such a cheap part. As long as I'm converting my 62 t'ette to dual circuit brakes, I want to mechanically restore anything I work on to as new a condition as possible.
Thanks.
Steve

Hi, Jeff,

yes, that is exactly what I'm looking for ... Almost. Actually the one I'm looking for is 2 3/4" long and 2 1/4 inch from center hole to end. However, I'll take that one if the longer one is unavailable. But please first look to see if any longer ones got mixed in with the others.
I think there will be enough threads to still safely work ok if the 1/4 inch longer one can't be found. (this clutch pedal link is used on a 68 c1200 4x4 with v8).

When I purchase the new clutch master cylinder (again as used on a 68 c1200) does it include the rubber boot as shown in the pics below? And does it include a new push rod as well? Can that push rod be special ordered 1/4" longer to compensate for the slightly shorter pedal link?

And finally, just as a curiosity and not that it matters, do the new clutch master cylinders have the IH logo cast into the front of them like this original?

Thanks.

Steve

Sorry steve but that is all we have when it comes to the pedal link. The only idea that I have for you would be to cut the pushrod and then install one of these in between - universal 4 3/4" long pedal rod extension - International Scout parts Or one of these - universal 1 1/8" pedal rod extension - International Scout parts

I don't believe the new master cylinder comes with the boot. I say believe as I don't have one in stock at the moment but will later today. It does come with a pushrod in which I will measure for you once it arrives.

The new one just arrived and just like our picture no boot is included. The pushrod length from the master cylinder mating surface to the tip is 5 3/16" long.

Hi,
guess I'll have to give this a bit more thought. My old one measures 6 1/4 inches, of course without the pedal link. Just wondering, do the parts books call for the same master clutch cylinder assembly for both scouts and 60's pickups?

Does this link have female threads on the other end and if so, about how deep do they go? http://www.IHPartsAmerica.com/store/mbm-pre5564-p-b7.html

The clutch master cylinder for a Scout and a pickup are completely different. To keep the length the same you probably can transfer the pushrod from the old master cylinder to the new one.

Yes that extension link is threaded on both ends. Internal threads look to about 1 1/4".
