Never weld Nuts / Bolts without first removing the coating

Grade 8 bolts have a cadmium coating that becomes a deadly gas when welding. Just one good whiff can cause life long problems.

Quick fix: soak the bolts in a diluted pool acid solution for about 1-2 minutes and then rinse. I use about 30% acid to 70% water mix for a flux when solderig galvanized sheet metal and found this work great.

Some parts for an offset air cleaner attachment.
