Ok so here is the deal. I have a 1929 Ford Model A
, but, stay with me, this is the cool part, it’s on a Scout chassis. I just got this thing on July 4th and I’m needing help identifying what I exactly have for a IH.
Not sure if it’s a 80, 800, or Scout II.
Not sure if it’s a 152 or a 196
Plus I know nothing about IH scout family tree beyond the research I’ve done the past week.
Here are the things I know the vehicle has.
Vacuum actuated wipers off fuel pump
Single reservoir brake master with wire snap cover
Same exact reservoir for clutch
Oil fill cover is on the valve cover
Engine is blue, not sure if that’s right original color
1 barrel Holley
I have no vin but I do have a build tag (IH fire wall plate?) no vin because title says
VIN -5580WIS
MODEL- HMADE
Which translates to titled on May 5th 1980 Wisconsin and was handmade. I can’t make this up
I was told it was a scout II chassis but after checking parts for a II I’m starting to think it’s an 80 or 800, but I’m no Einstein. Need some help, this thing was to cool to pass up, plus it’s got a very cool history. Been owned by 2 people since 1980
