Anyone down in southern CA? Im not very experienced but would like to work with someone that is or hell just to have someone else that would like to work on their vehicle with me. I'm new to the area so looking to meet some people. I farm strawberries and have a shop that we can use on weekends.

driscoll's by any chance? I used to pass by their farm on a regular basis. What IH vehicle do you have? Mine's a 62 crew cab pick-up. IH called it a travelette. I know eventually I will need to find a place where I can do some major work to it. And yes its nice to have someone to bounce ideas off of.

Hi,
I've got so much I hardly know where to start. But my biggest, most challenging project will be taking the cab off my frame and sitting it on another heavier frame that has a much stronger 4x4 drive train. In theory it seems simple enough, but I've never done anything like that and not sure the best way to lift without tweaking the cab body.
But first I'll have to rent some type of barn or storage area where I can park the two trucks side by side to work on them. I've got both trucks but just need to figure out where and how to lift a cab off a frame.
How is your restoration coming along? Any pictures?

Ive just started taking the fenders off. Someone stole the tools out of my bed the other day 
so the project is on hold for just a little. I'll post up some pics when I get the body off. Which I need to figure out also haha May just use a forklift. I would offer our shop, but its used everyday besides Sunday. I had to move my Scout to a different area because of that.
