My Trail Scout is FINALLY ready!

Whoo-hoo! Ready for the trail! After five months, it's ready to go!

The parameters of the build: everything recycled. The only things bought new were gaskets, u-joints, and some hardware. Everything else was sourced from the junkyards, craigslist, and e-bay. There's even a bunch of stuff on there that got dragged home all the way from this year's bee! (thanks Mike roth!)

so here's what I ended up with:

'78 345 with edelbrock 4bbl, headers, and twin flowmasters. 727 auto, Dana 44's with 3.73 gears with a detroit locker in the rear.

It's got 4" Skyjacker's on there and someone already did lots of nice gusseting and frame reinforcements.

Thanks to lots of mayben's FAQ's on this board, most ever'thing has been taken apart and put back together again.

Body damage? Who cares! It'll be nice to have one Scout where I can say that, and we'll take it for a short run locally this weekend.

Brian

An exceptional find has evolved into a dam nice rig! Your secrets behind it will go to the grave with me!

Great looking truck! You might want to smudge your license plate in this posting, as you don't want people finding out where you live and helping themselves to your truck.

That Scout looks way too nice to beat up on trails =)

I love the buckets and console! Mid-late 90s tahoe console is what it looks like =d
