This isn't really tech so I put it here since we don't have an interiors forum.
I finally got my seat from the po the other day. The origianl cover is in pretty decent shape, the thread has failed at several seams which is why it looks ripped. The top left corner of the back is torn and dried out some though. I think I am going to recover it with my hand tooled leatherhttp://www.forums.IHPartsAmerica.com/misc-sale/3959-leatherwork.html).
I am going to do a classic basket weave on the seat and then do the Scout script real large on the seat back that you rest against. Then if it looks ok and not to cluttered I want to add the IH logo. I plan to do it in an antique brown dye, so it will look like its 40 years old.
Any thoughts? Other ideas for a logo?
Did the Scout 80 have any logo specific to it other than the Scout script?
