Well I did not like using grade 8 standard washer for the lower spring mount u-bolt (9/16 upgrade u- bolt!!) axle mounting dillios as the little rascals that came with jeffs Ubolt kit are well about useless for stock application (dont fit in the rail on passenger side)..so I reused all of the old IH supplied washers..course me being the backyard mecanik so to speak who gets in more trouble (like left over parts) than many when it comes to mecanik issues decided to take on the fix (again 1/2 inch hole in stock washer aint going over a 9/16 u-bolt diameter)..even with my 8th grade edukation level I still get into trouble on mecaniks..well my grabs the file so the old man dont chew my butt for wasting a $50 speshul carbide bit in the lathe.. It figured when the file scraped the washer and it skated right off I knew the speshul washers are hardened..little rascals (insert any myriad of curse word here) appear to be more than just case hardened..so I used my die grinder and opened up to fix (the spark show looked good with the shop lights off)..I dunno..I just feel better using those oem hardened thick washers that I cannot seem to locate new anywhere...well I think the one light line dealer has em but wants an arm and leg..anyhow you can see in the pic these little speshul washers and decide for yourself..god speed
