Getting ready to install a Mark viii electric fan on my 392. The fan is a 2 speed fan and wanted to see if anybody knows which wire is high and which is low. Also wanted to add a thermal switch for low and a manual switch for high and wanted to see if anybody had a wiring diagram and what temp they used for the thermal switch.

Thanks

Not sure which wire is which, I have that fan and would need to test it, but google might turn up what color wire goes to what.

As for a temp switch, I used a 1984 volkswagen jetta
wahler vww062985
It's a dual temp switch, but I just use the low and that worked out good. Low comes on/off at 85-74c/93-82c it gives you the option to pick one that works for you.

You could put it in the water neck, with an adapter, or cut the upper radiator hose and put it there.

To turn the fan on I used a 3 way switch so one was set to auto and lets the temp switch control the low speed of the fan, the middle is for off and the other position turn on the high speed continuous.

Matt, I run that fan and I don't run a thermal switch. I run a 3 way switch and I just leave it on low speed, unless I'm running the welder.
