So while attending the 2008 Binder Bee my wife fell in love with the round body t-all. I have been sort of looking around since then for a deal on one. Well we finally found one that she liked. Stay tuned...

Ifs or beam axle?

Since I own a white '65 t-all I have to say I appreciate her taste.

It looks as if you found a good one.

Good luck.

If that's the one I saw at the roth's compound, it is one of the most "original" and cancer free ones I've ever seen. Other than slight body work, it could be a real looker and I think it had the bw auto to boot. Very classy!

I am afraid the IH motor and trans won't be hanging out for long. I just scored a big block mopar and 727 to transplant into it.

yes!!!! That's the tickee!!!!

Gurl's got taste! And scruu that dam modern 'burban!

Slam it and let's do a chop job! That glass would be ez to cut down!

Curent ideas on the table include:

two tone yellow and white paint.
Recover the seats and door panels to match the exterior.
Stock steel wheels with baby moons.
440 transplant.
Old wooden surfboard to hang out the back. :icon_wink:

Ken dropped off "buttercup" today. Now that it is home I see it is a 1000 series, I believe that means it has the torsion bar setup.

I got a few pictures of buttercup before it got dark.

Very slammable! The torsion bar schnozz is the best deal going! I have the four "reversed" wheels ya need (with 8" rims), I can swap with ya for the rims ya got on there when the time comes and they'll take "internal hump" moonees. But it's gonna beg for some red stripe tiger paws to complete the look!

And remove two leaves from the rear spring pak to level it out (or use lowering blocks, I have a couplea sets of those also).

None of the above costs squat! And you will end up with a ride superior to the 'burban that no doubt gets much better mileage.

The 440 is gonna actually take around 100>125 lbs. Off the nose iirc, and the entire package can be pushed back and slightly down prolly about 2" and still keep the fan centerline in the shroud.

Since the motor package issa motorhome app, it's got the superduty looooong tail on it. No slipyoke, it's a direct bolt-up. So that combined with a rearward shove of the package means the two piece driveshaft can go away also, and put a slip yoke on the rear axle end.

However, that tranny yore gittin' "might" have a parking brake (drum) mounted on the tail also which would be great!

And...make sure you get the cable shift setup outta the motorhome, that would really be great to mount in the dash! I didn't think of that this morning. That trans cannot be remade into a "pushbutton" model, but the stick in the dash is like a real one arm bandit pre-electronics!!

There might be a few pieces you could use on wilbur settin' out back (the 1300 flatbed). Wes is supposed to come git his bed to go on some project he's got goin' on. Ask maranda how she feels about settin' up the azzend slammed with a dually axle????

A mopar powered buttercup.
That's pretty nice monte. Wish the best on your build, and I'm sure the missus will luv it!

I managed to get the rear glass down so I could open the tailgate. The wooden floor in the back is soft and needs replaced, but I had already planned to replace it with some nice oak tongue and groove anyway.

Maranda pulled the carpet out and the floors look real nice. I can't believe how solid this thing is. :cornut:

I got a good look at my donor motor and transmission today. It turns out that it is actually a ht (heavy duty) 413. I also got muddy and crawled under the motorhome, the transmission has the brake drum e-brake. All in all I think I made a nice score and the price couldn't have been better.

Hey monte, you gunna lower it or was mm blowing smoke?? Could be a bitchen looking chop.....say 2-3 inches. Maybe to nice a IH to f'up though.

Chopped would be really cool, but it isn't going to happen. I do plan on lowering it a little. I imagine the engine swap will actually raise the front. :yikes:
