Manual trans rebuilding tools?

Anybody have a good list of tools required for a manual trans rebuild? A particular brand of snap ring pliers, a favorite dealy, a better gizmo, whatever?

I have a Scout II t-19 on my forever growing to-do list...

Thanks!

A set of bad-a$$ external snap ring pliers, big ones.

A long bearing pressing tool (1-3/4" tube?). And a dangerous combo of puller to get the bearings off.

That is about it. I don't think you really even need a press.

Ok, maybe I'll try and put my Christmas money towards specialty tools.

Anything else maybe, like a brass hammer or drift?

I'm embarrassed to ask, however I have spent the last hour unsuccessfully trying to install a snap ring in a t-18. Give me an example of a bad ass external snap ring pliers, brand etc., that will work well with the tapered snap rings.
Thanks.
