Manual Master with disc brakes

Hello all. I have my 72 on the road after 3 years of work. So I have a spring over with a Dana 44 up front and 44 in the rear. Scout rotors and pads up front and Scout drum and shoes out back. I still have the drum/drum master with out booster. This things stop incredible with this setup and I am running 35" tires. I have hit the brakes from 55 or 60 and it stops very well. Better than the 31's with drum drum. My question is, until I get a booster and drum/disc master. How can you prevent the slight pressure thats constanly on the front thats required from drum operation. I heard there is a check ball and spring in the master the can be removed. Is that true? Thanks
