i have a 6.0 ls2 going in a 70 800a. i opened it up, and did a larger cam, rockers, lifters, rods, springs, etc. gonna go with marine 8.1 42# injectors.
i intend to use a early bronco ford 9 rear end (i have a 69 early bronco thats pushing 550 hp at the crank with a stroker, all custom built, so i know more about broncos than scouts!), ill use a scout II dana 44 front, thinking 4.11 gears, with 32/33 range tires, ill do a torque tamer bar to keep the rear leafs from warping under load
gonna do a 4l65 thats beefed up, 3000 stall, with a np241c
i did order the anything scout motor mounts, i have a centech wiring harness (15 circuit) for the chassis, and was thinking id likely opt to have a standalone harness built, although i did save the factory harness and could have it rebuilt
i intend to run hydroboost, with 4 wheel disc brake, but havent seen a good bracket yet for the firewall to hydroboost unit (do you know of one, or should i build one?)
i was gonna have tom woods custom make my drive shafts
so questions:
1. what gear ratio do you advise?
2. do you have any advice for engine harness? (standalone vs. reworking stock)
3. hydroboost bracket?
4. stock gauges or bluetooth from obd2 port onto a tablet?
5. any other advice from mistakes you have seen other makes?
6. radiator: i saw anything scout makes one for the 800, so likely go that way unless someone else has advice
7. fuel tank: thinking the cj tank, unless someone has a better idea
8. trans crossmember: anything scout stopped making one for the 800, and got some feedback that I might can use stock, but have not investigated yet (weather has been crappy)
