I have a scout ll 1978 manual trans. I need to replace the lower ignition switch. Anyone have a thread or link on how to do that. I looked in my shop book but came up empty and looked for it online but it’s all about the key ignition switch replacement. Any help please.

A couple of suggestions:
1. Scroll down thru this forum for similar threads, there are several pages of threads.....also try the Basic Tech threads.
2. The Scout II utilizes a GM/Saginaw steering column. So I bet this subject is covered in a YouTube video
of a 70's or 80's GM car or truck. Different vehicle but the same column & switch & mechanism.

Not a big deal to replace. There is just a rod from the key to activate the switch and a big plug with lots of wires.

Success😀 it was easy. And the part actually worked now it’s easy to turn my key and engine cranks right up every time. Just like new.
