Lokar kickdown setup.

Hi all,

I guess I should have paid attention to this prior to pulling all of my old linkage out...and I have never had to mess with this (not mechanical by any means). What I am trying to figure out is how to set the kickdown with this new lokar kit. As it stands now the cable has the transmission lever pulled all the way forwards at closed throttle. As the throttle opens the cable will then pull the lever towards the back of the tranny. Does this sound right?

I have my parts so I am going to do this, Saturday. Here's a page with details on the upgrade. Can't be too much help here since I have not done it yet but here's what I am going to use.
