Loadstar with lots of light issues

So many lights and so few work.
Anyway, it's a '65 Loadstar 1890. Truck had no lights until I put in a new headlight switch and repaired a tail light. Now all it gets are low beams and tail lights. No dash lights, dome light isn't lit, switching to high beams turns the lights off, using the turn signal only causes the tail light to go out but not blink, and yea no other lights.
I have a wiring diagram for the truck but I can't make sense of it because there's no colors for the wires. Right above the headlight switch are 2 black wires just dangling. How am I supposed to know what they're for?

No change. These are the wires I am referring to. The black wire on the right is #40 but I can't locate it on my wiring diagram. The other 2 don't seem to have any #s.

You've got more info than me, if you've got a wiring diagram. I can look under my dash and see if there is something similar.

For the high beams, with a teat light, check for power from the floor switch to the headlights.

So it looks like the 2 black wires are for the brake light switch. The other, I have no idea.

big update gaps sorry, just got through christmas and almost through my other car.
anyway, my service manuals for this truck just came in this week. 3 volumes and a lot there. It seems the electrical diagrams for the loadstar only go up to 1850? I have an 1890 and a couple things are throwing me off. There is no radio on the diagram. I cannot locate the brake stop light switch, nor the turn signal flasher relay. The numbers on these wires are not matching up with the numbers on the diagram. I figure the stop light switch is just gone but a picture will be very helpful. The flasher I'm lost.
