Lifter question

I was taking out and cleaning my lifters (one at a time) and a few of them I cannot get the inside slide/spring out. There is no give and it will not turn. Is this of concern? Should I replace them? Any ideas?

Running a new lifter on an old high mileage cam in a recipe for disaster. So is mixing the original location.

Keep working with the sticky ones till you get them apart... Try soaking it in aerosol carb cleaner or acetone over night. Then invert the lifter and whack it on a heavy plate of aluminum backed up by some weight. That should jar the guts loose.
