Leaf Spring Help

PDX-SCOUT

New member
I have a 67 800.

How can I determine if my Scout is lifted or not. I know it sounds stupid, but how can I tell if my Scout is ridding on stock leafs or lifted ones.

I need to replace my leafs, and I want to keep the ride height the same as it is today.

A previous owner swapped sii front and rear axles. I have no clue if they installed a suspension kit to give the Scout a lift.

Is there a way I can determine what leafs are currently installed on my machine. Is there a measurement I can make? Is there info stamped into the leaf?

How does a person determine their desired ride height? Say 2.5" lift, does that literately mean that the body & frame will be lifted exactly 2.5"?

Thanks for any help.

Exactly 2.5 no. There is a wide range of equipment on differing vehicles of the same make and model (I.e. Weight) so 2.5 means approximately 2.5

I don't believe that any manufactures of springs stamp any number of the spring pack.

Where would you take a measurement in order to determine what lift I might have?

Would you know what stock right height is?
