Lead paint

Does anyone know if my 1976 Scout terra May contain lead paint?
This question occurred to me tonight as I was grinding my differential covers to prep for por15.

After researching elsewhere on the net it looks like my answer is yes it could. I think I will order a set of the new high pinion covers even though I don't think I have high pinions.
