Hi, Just wondering if disc brakes were ever an option with a FA-78 front drive axle? And if they were, just wondering if it would be possible to convert a FA-78 front drive axle from drum brakes to disc brakes, assuming parts were still available? And could it be done and still use the Dayton style hubs and part-time locking hubs?
I know IH started using disc brakes on their medium duty trucks during the time this axle was in production, but I don't know if they ever used disc brakes on this particular axle.
