Is it possible to adjust the throttle spring on an 800

So obviously I havent done much wrenching on this yet. I just discovered that my throttle sticks allitle at low throttle. Is there an adjustment? Or do I have to look for another spring?

If it is stiking, you May want to check your cable.

I had a throttle cable fray on my 70 800a while I was driving on the high way. I tried to stomp on it to loosen it up (before I figured out my cable had frayed) and the pedal stuck to the floor.

Many things can cause/prevent the throttle plates from returning to the idle position. Including vacuum leaks!

Completely remove the pedal actuation system form the carb throttle arm and eliminate that crap which is always rotten on these rides. Rig a fresh throttle return spring to the throttle arm (preferably a dual spring setup), and then see if the carb responds to a rapidly opened/closed motion.

Also the carb idle mixture must be correct, and if the carb still has a functional dashpot, that component is designed to prevent rapid throttle closure and must be adjusted/replaced/eliminated. Then, if that solves the problem, go on to freshening the entire throttle lever actuation system.

Post pics of the carb/throttle setup and I'll pick it apart piece-by-piece! There were several variations of the throttle actuation systems on the s80 and s800, they are not "all the same"!
