Is Aervoe version of 'glyptal' still recommended?

I guess this question is directed at michael mayben who originally mentioned aervoe "insulating epoxy coating" (sku-401) in May and September of 2009 (I found no mention of it since then). Products and opinions can change over time but blog posts seem to live forever - so I just wanted to check if the aervoe version of 'glyptal' is still recommended for interior engine use as it was in the following posts?

aervoe on 5/4/2009

Aervoe on 9/9/2009

Thanks

There has been no change in opinions hear. What michael used is still what he uses.

I done coat the inside of anything I build. Always believe the rough cast interior increases heat transfer. Different strokes for different folks.

One of my other hobbies is my listeriod indian copy of a 1930's lister cs6/1 diesel engine. These all come with the insides of the engines coated with glyptal. Unfortunately the indian castings are not well made and tend to have a lot of casting sand embedded in the cast iron. The indians use the paint to seal in the sand and also to seal any pin holes in the casting.

IH engines are master pieces in castiron foundry work and don't really need this band-aid to fix bad casting practices. Used castiron has oil embedded in the pores which makes it difficult to keep paint adhered to. Flaking paint could cause problems in bearings and such, so unless the parts have been thoroughly hot tanked I wouldn't even think of it.
