International 466DT in a Loadstar?

Hi, I've come across a low mileage, "awesome running 466DT and Allison" in a '78 Cargostar. Will this engine swap with a 392 V8 in a 1700 Loadstar? And will it connect to a IH 5-speed trans without adapters or other machine work or fabrication?
And is this the IH diesel everyone says is so good and dependable?
Your opinions, please.

Way way, way to long. A 6.9 or 7.3 diesel would fit though it probably won't connect to the five speed. To much torque.
