Installing new radiator mounting nut

Hey guys,

another age ago, aka sometime in April, I was attempting to install a new radiator. When I tried to remove the old one, the lower passenger side bolt, it snapped off. I tried everything to get it out, but ultimately ended up knocking it out.

I tried helicoils, but the sheet metal is to thin to work in that situation. So my current solution is to weld a new one in.

Because of the location, there is a bracket in the way of clear access. The bolt for the front body mount runs through this piece, but as my luck continues, it's siezed up on the nylon locknut, two breaker bars on either end wouldn't budge it. It would be a lot easier to weld if this bracket was not in the way, but I think I could possibly weld it to the body on just the lower half of the washer to which I welded the nut and that would work ok - not like it moves a lot, but I just wanted it done *right*

I can cut it out, but before I go to the trouble, can anyone tell me if this bracket will come out w/ the bolt removed or is it also welded in there or otherwise attached?

Thanks!
-Tom
