We got our old Scout running like a champ! Engine is just wonderful now with the 7448 and new oil passages cleaned...valves working right....
The only issue we still got is this wondeful 727 tranny.
I've owned lots of versions of 727's . But I have never experienced this.
When I slow down to a stop light...she slips out into neutral.
50% of the time...other times...she stays in gear...its utterly unpredictable.
And so ...when the light goes green..if she aint in gear...I gotta put her back in neutral...rev her up...and reshift into drive...boom...shes moving.
On the freeway...this doesn't happen....and she doesn't slip out over 25 mph...only when slowng down.
We did not change the fluid...so its 5 years old and sat idle for those 5 years...but the fluid looks great!! Nice and red and not dirty...at all...and full.
