Hi there, new on this forum; does anyone have a picture of the connections at the back of the ignition switch mounted on 69 1000D series? I have a doubt regarding the wires locations!
thanks for your help;
thanks a lot, it will help me; I think there must be an inversion somewhere because when I start the engine by turning the key fully, I have to release immediately to make it run; if I keep the key on right position (like it should be until the engine starts) it will never start but will drain the battery!!
I think you have an "open" in your 12VDC ignition wire that come from the starter solenoid to the coil + connection.
Has someone been working under the hood on the starter, coil or wiring?
yes, the starter has been changed in USA before to import the truck; (I'm in France) I agree with you, a 12V must be missing somewhere to maintain the ignition when key is fully engaged;
