Both of the visors on my Scout II are a bit loose and will tend to sag when driving on bumpy roads (like the one to my house). Anyone know how to tighten them up a bit so they won't drop?
I used a large pair of vice grips and covered the leading edge of the visor with a thick towel then squeezed down with the vg's in the few places along the edge where there is a metal tube which the holding rod for the visor passes through. Be sure not to clean up all the rust and crap inside there because that provides a good amount of friction to help keep it in place.
Jeff, that rod does not turn, the visor turns on it. So the tape will only secure it in the clip a bit tighter. If that's needed the clip can be removed and the spring bent a bit.
Dk, that sounds like a good plan. I think I'll give that a shot.
