How do you remove the old bushing out of the leaf springs. The outer shell looks as if its rusted its self to the spring!!!

I use an air hammer with the chisel tip. Start at one end and the chisel will/should cut the steel sleeve and push it out.

I was working on one for about 30 min. No budge. I used my air hammer the entire time. I'll try to get to it today, again.

If the rubber insert is still in the middle you should remove that first. A claw type gear puller works when you use a deep socket of the appropriate size as a pusher. The core should push out of the sleeve.

Another method is to use a torch and "burn" the center bushing out, that makes a real mess and if you do it on the upcoming "carbon belch day", send a video of the process to owlgore and he'll send ya back double carbon debits.

Then I use a milwaukee "torch" blade inna sawzall to cut through the wall of the outer bushing, once it's split, it'll nearly jump out of the spring eye.
