How do you install a leading edge window guide on a Scout 800B

Hi all. I need some help installing leading edge window guides on my Scout 800B. I tried this years ago and it did not work out. That time I used 3m weather stripping adhesive and tried to attach the guide to the leading edge on the window. They would not stay in place after the 3m curred. When I rolled the windows up and down they got all chewed up, so they hit the trash can. Now I want to attempt it again as my driverside window jams into my vent window making it difficult to roll it up. Other issues that are causing this problem I believe is the little adjusting nut at the lower front of the door was froze. I had a good time getting that out. I'm waiting on delivery of that part. Also from reading forums there an essentric that I did not know about that is mounted on the lower window frame where the window regulator arms attach with those small clips. My Scout did not have those. That serves as adjustment to adjust the window to be level with the wing window. I found dimension for the essentric on a forum, I made one out of a 3/4" bolt. As always I appreciate any and all advice.
