I've been looking for a 64-68 IH pickup for some time now. I've found a few good ones, with no rust or rot, but they have manual steering and brakes. In general, how difficult would it be to swap over to power steering and brakes? The brakes I think would be pretty straightforward - just replace the master cylinder with the power booster and replumb the lines. For the steering though, would I have to change out the entire steering column? I would have either a donor truck, or find a salvage yard with a similar model year, to have the various brackets and parts. But would I be in for major surgery, or would it be fairly doable?
