Mine was going pretty good untill about 15 minutes before I was to go home I got a radio call "ron I think this semi just hit your Scout". At first I thought this would not be a funny joke, then I went outside the see that my 74 did get hit by a semi:yikes:

the driver was trying to back up to a dock door and hit the passenger door with his front driver steer tire. He moved the Scout 6" or more, sideways.
Needless to say I was not a happy camper, I have to get some esimates tomorrow and hopefully I won't have a problem with receiving payment. Luckly there is a good Scout body man in yankton sd. Here's a few pics of the carnage:

That really sucks ron. Hopefully the truckers insurance compensates you quickly and fairly.

This reminds me years ago when I worked for a general auto repair shop I had my new to me 91' Nissan pickup 4x4 parked in the lot. A delivery driver who was turning around in our industrial complex backed right up next to my truck and then turned hard right to pull out. The overhang of his truck put a nice deep pin stripe most of the way down my bedside. My coworker coming back from lunch walks in and tells me about the damage. To say the least I was pissed as that was the first nice thing I had owned in years. I will say though that I was quickly and fairly compensated and got my truck fixed in no time.

Thanks Jeff and saskscout; I just got back from the body shop and his quote was $1600, not as much as I would have charged the trucker:ihih: I would have added some pain and suffering charges!

Well good news, the insurance company cut the check for the full amount plus $25 a day for loss of use. So the Scout is in the body shop being repaired as I am typing this. Should be done yet this week.
