Hey gang,

some of you May remember a little over a year ago I tried to buy a place out near where the rallye is held. Long story short it turned into a nightmare and obviously I ended up not getting the place. Over the last year much has transpired in my life, and I now understand why I didn't get the place (I firmly believe that everything happens for a reason). Over the last year, I went through some pretty hard times as well as some very amazing times. My life in the last 6 months has taken on a whole new and fresh outlook however; I have met, fallen in love and purposed marriage to the girl of my dreams (best part she said yes) some of you met erin at the rallye and the bee this summer. And more recently finally made it financially back to a point where I was able to buy a home, something I thought was not going to be possible again. But through the grace of my Mom and Dad and the housing market being what it is I am pleased to say that I closed escrow and moved into my new home last week. I learned from the last time to pretty much keep my mouth shut until it was a done deal. Anyway, the place is more than I could hope for, for less than I could have imagined. I am the proud owner of 4.5 acres with a 3bd 2 ba home near Jeff in Grass Valley CA. I don’t have any pictures on my computer yet, and to be honest the house is nothing to really post up but there is tons of potential and we are making the most of it with paint and updates. In all honesty for what I paid for the land, the house really came for free.

So I get to raise the boys in a beautiful part of the country on my own little slice of the pie within 10 minutes of my closest friend with the most amazing girl I have ever met all for less than I was paying for rent on a small place in Loomis. I literally could not be happier or more content with my life.

Anyway, thanks again to Jeff and norma for their always present support and for coming over with the load of firewood last weekend. And as previously discussed between the two of us we should not have to turn away any strays from now on.

To the rest of you, thanks for the support of the last 2 years and especially the last year and please know there is an open invitation to any and all who need a place to crash at any time. There is plenty of room, and the construction of the rv pad is already slated and will be underway soon.

I hope things just keep getting better from here on out.:winky:

That's great Chad, it's always good to here that someone that has gone through the trials of life has turned things around and is back on the good side of life again. (I hope I said that right).
Again that's really good news!!

Kathy and I purposely didn't mention this deal while we were there since our current state of juju dam shore coulda rubbed off on yawl and queered tha deal.

But since it's now a dundeal, we can say shit yeah!!!

Anyhoo...our plan is to still be back down yonder come xmastime to hopefully start packin'/moving' the ihon hq. So we'll divide our time between yawl's nailbangin' and Jeff and norma's nailbangin'.

With all that junkiron movin' into Nevada County from Loomis, yore side of tha foothills May start gittin' a bit tipsy.

Chad and erin scored on this place. Norma and I are really truly happy for them and even happier that they are not far away. I've known about this for quite some time and took some pictures when I was first out there in early September so here they are.

First the squatters had to be run off.

No home is complete around here unless it has some type of outdoor fire pit.

Lol I forgot to mention my herd... Jeff saw daddy the other day. Lets just say that if the shit ever hit the fan my meat supply would not be an issue. There is a really big boy running around with all those ladies.

And mayben, you know you and kathy are always welcome. Well kathy anyway :dita:

seriously though erin and I would be overjoyed to have you for as long as you would like!

Great news, Chad and erin. Congrats on the new home and your engagement! A great looking place.

I know what you mean about buying a home these days. Our youngest son has been in process since the first week of May. He just signed papers yesterday; well actually his girl friend signed for him. His employer sent him to merced, CA for the week so he had to grant power-of-attorney to his girl friend. He only had to sign once; she signed papers for 2 hours.

Congratulations, Chad

yep, sep - oct is the time "daddy" (buck) shows up around here.

He probably comes over the hills (east bay) from tilden regional park.

We do not have nearly as many does as we used to have when we first moved here (I suspect the person who fed them has moved away.), but 3 - 5 are still around some of the time and we usually see 2 - 3 fawns in May.
