HIC valve inspection

Hello all.

I finally got around to rebuilding my carburetor (2210). Right now, I'm in disassembly/cleaning mode. In preparation of the rebuild, I was hoping someone could help me out with the hic valve. My question is what to do with it? Is that something I would want to replace (rather not)? How do I know if it needs replacing? Is there any maintenance to be done on it? From what I can tell, everything is there. There are no plugs.

This is my first vehicle carburetor rebuild, so go easy on me. :icon_wink:

any help is appreciated.

There should be a small rubber *donut* in your carb kit that is the seal for the hic valve. Just remove the cover plate screws and plate to access the valve. The valve usually falls out then. Replace the rubber part and reinstall the valve. That's all there is to it.

Awesome. Thanks! I've cleaned out the compartment for the hic valve, but do I need to clean the valve itself? Or just replace the donut and be done?

Thanks again!!
