Need help from the IH community. Our brother Isa of Isa's IH in acton, CA had his home shop burned down to the ground yesterday. All was lost including tools. Isa was in the process of moving to Arizona. If you have anything that you can spare (cash or tools especially) please let us know. If all you have to offer are your thoughts and prayers we will take those too. Thanks all!

So sorry about Isa's loss. As a chaplain, I'm pretty good in the prayer dept. I'll send some his way.

Burned down, did they catch the arson?

Wow what a bad deal. :frown5:

Isa bought parts from me in the recent past, I'll offer to replace those parts if that will help.

Investigators have so far determined the cause of fire seems to be from an electronic equipment failure in the office. From there the fire spread to the shop.

Thank you Robert. That is very kind.

Wow. Sorry for the loss. Tragic. Hope no one got hurt. Seems like the fires run in the family. Seems just recently you had a fire, but not as bad as it appears that Isa got hit. Either way it's not fun at all. Prayers going out.

I do have a 30 gal. Craftsman air compressor sitting off in the corner collecting dust if he needs air in a pinch, that I only kept as a back up for if my big compressor goes sour. I might have a spare 1/2" impact. Maybe a couple spare cresent wrenches. Also a color computer monitor that I no longer use that he can have. I might come up with a few other things, but I'm somewhat in the process of preparing to move my mancave, sometime in the next couple of months.

If there's specific things that is needed right away, maybe post up.

Also wanted to say that I spoke with Isa this morning. He is in much better spirits and thanks everyone for their support thus far. He told me he couldn't believe all that was going on to help him behind the scenes and greatly appreciates it all. He has been extremely busy dealing with the fire department, investigators, building department, insurance adjustor, even the bomb squad. According to investigators the cause of the fire was narrowed down to an overheated laptop battery.

Maybe I missed it, is there a place to deposit a donation, via paypal or IH Parts America? This is a bad deal would like to help, prayers are sent.

This kind of thing is enough to discourage anyone. I was shocked and saddened, to say the least.
We are removing the battery from the lap top today.

Carolyn and I give our best regards, our prayers and are sending a "fire relief" check in the mail.

God bless you in your rebuilding task ahead.

Thanks for the offer on the compressor kimball. He said he could use one for sure but so far has no place to put one. I know one other offered a compressor as well as I too have a spare shop compressor in the old shop down in Loomis that I could give him. Other problem is getting it down to him.

As for other tools I did send him a big box of hand tools yesterday along with some air tools and other random things. Isa said he won't fully know all that he need suntil he can go through the tool boxs but so far anything plastic is pretty much melted down.

Thank you dick.

is there a preference the check be written out to Isa's International or to Isa Ismail or does it matter?

Please make checks out to Isa Ismail and mail to:

With the photos of the devastation, I'm so glad no one got hurt. Thoughts and prayers go out to Isa and his family. Not sure when or how much, but I'll do what I can to help.
