Heater box removal

Does anyone have a trick for removing/breaking the seal at the heater box to firewall & inner fender well? My 78 sii seems to be "welded" on b/c it's been there so long!!

First make sure I mean real sure you have all the bolts out. There are I believe 2 on the blower housing that goes through the firewall and possibly 1 thats between the firewall and the box. Then it should come out without to much trouble. Usually the seal tape will just let go but if not a thin metal strip like a hacksaw blade can be used to break the seal.

Thanks!!! I was figuring some kinda cutting? Just wondered if a heat source, I.e.: heat gun, was needed. I've found all bolts/screws and ready to remove!
