GOING TOPLESS!

Not yet but soon! I was just thinking of what is the best possible way to store a top to keep from damaging it I usualy just lay down some bords for it to sit on but their has to be a better way maybe some stands or something? What are your ideas????? :smilewinkgrin:
 
I had set my top on a pair of saw horses in the back yard, until I moved all my stuff into my man cave. Then I set it on a pair of car dollies in order to move it around by myself easier
 
I take mine to the shop and use the hoist for the Scout II top. Then we store it in the upper deck of the shop. My terra top fits anywhere

With the combination of 11' ceiling height, in my man cave, and a 9'(or more) tall 73 beastly Scout, my over head electric hoist barely has enough room to lift up the hard top off my Scout.

Gotta get you a taller shop brother. I was a little disappointed that this misleading topic had no nudity but its a good topic.

The shop I use has a 25 ft ceeling I think. I think the best storage ive ever seen is my uncle turning his traveler top into a shed when his terra top was on. I suppose as long as the top is off the ground its being stored correctly. Coming from the guy who has two traveler tops laying on the ground right now

Aren't these scouts so sexy when they go topless :smilewinkgrin: lol even better with the bakini babe in the back ground. As in bakini top.

I so wish I did have a taller shop. Would be nice to get a car lift in here too. But in some ways it's nice working on some of these lifted scouts. Prety much sit up while working underneath them.
 
I have a bikini top but just like the girls I prefer my Scout totaly topless :crazy: but I rock the bikini on the 73 most of the time I already probaly got skin cancer so smart idea to use it save me from so bad sunburns
 
I love the top off and a bikini top on. It's worth the work of getting it off. Watch that back hatch glass. A little tweak and it gets you. I get two guys and we just lift it off. "just" is an exaggeration but it's doable. I know a guy who walks his off the tail gate on his back with a buddy. You will be surprised how much heat the vehicle holds until you get that top off. And it looks so cool...always a plus!
 
There have been days that my skinny or fat friends havent been there and I walked if off myself thank you very much. I also spent the rest of the day in the fetal position.

Im just thinking if I should take the top off my big lifted one its going to be a challenge being so high up but I know it would be worth it :icon_mrgreen:
 
One time I built a rope and pulley system on an old oak tree and used a come-a-long to lift the top off. The top then spent the summer on saw horses under the tree.
