Getting a late start... 1973 Scout II

Bought my 3rd Scout II about two months ago. I have already had a variety of postings in these forums so thanks for all the help. I wanted to get this done quick. I work too many hours a week and have little kids who need lots of attention at home so I ended up having much of the work done by a retired friend whose skills far exceed mine. Therefore, I won't take credit for the tough work. Just the planning...

Here is what I started with. My two boys have named the Scout blue beard.

runs well. Leaks some oil and a lot of power steering fluid. Front suspension mounts are just scary. Hoping to get rid of the gold wheels fast.

I have a lot of plans and will keep going until I finish or I am broke.

Suspension
• tough country 2.5" lift spring kit ( front & rear springs )
• extended stainless steel brake lines
• bilstien shocks
• extended shackle
• CPT reverse shackle system
• hidden u-bolt plates set with rock slider protection
• new brakes all the way around (wish I could have afforded a disc brake conversion, but not yet)
• 31x10.5 cooper discovery stt’s’
• new wheels

steering
• borgeson steering shaft conversion
• power steering gear box
• power steering pump
• power steering hose
• power steering return hose

driveline
• extended front driveline

engine
• new crank case ventilator
• replace pcv valve
• new metal fuel lines
• 30 gallon tank
• added powerbrake booster
• new magnaflow single exhaust system

electrical
• new battery and battery ground

interior
• four point belts in the rear
• three point belts in the front
• show bar
• bikini top

that is all I'll have for a while since I spent a bunch right out the gate. Thanks to the info on this board so far and thanks to the IH only. I appreciate your prompt service and knowledge when ordering parts...
