Hey guys.
I am changing ring and pinion in my scoutii. Upon disassembly, pinion seal brg. And slinger hit the floor. Don't know what position the sliinger goes in.
79 scoutii, 345, 727, Dana 20, 44,s front and rear.
Am working on the rear at the moment. Ready to re-install.

Thanks for any help. (no clear pic in manual)

The slinger goes between the seal and the bearing. The assembly order is the same for either the drive axle or the steering axle.
 
Thanks Mike. That's what I thought but wasn't sure. I am familiar with Chevy. They don't use a slinger in most apps.

Thanks Jeff at ihon. The Yukon gears are good quality. The master install kit has all the shims and timken brgs. Very pleased with the parts.got my rear axle completed in the middle of the night, which it seems when I have the time to wrench on my truck. But, I
I had everything I needed. That says a lot to me. I do not have the luxury of the all-night parts house in my area. Thanks again.
