Gas Tank Valve / Switch Help

Hey guys-

I recently purchased a '67 Scout 800 and was wondering if it were possible to switch between the gas tanks while the engine is running / the car is moving? I don't want to cut off fuel, starve the engine and stall it while driving.

Also, I see the switch on dash just below the fuel gauge to switch the gauge from measuring the left to the right tank. Will the gauge work on a tank even if I am using the other tank? Said another way, if I am using the right tank, will the gauge still tell me how much fuel is in the left tank? Worried maybe my right tank gauge isn't working properly.

hey guys-

Also, I see the switch on dash just below the fuel gauge to switch the gauge from measuring the left to the right tank. Will the gauge work on a tank even if I am using the other tank? yes said another way, if I am using the right tank, will the gauge still tell me how much fuel is in the left tank? yes worried maybe my right tank gauge isn't working properly. the fuel gauge switch does not know which tank you are drawing from, it only reads the fuel quantity of the tank that you select.
