Fuel tank strap bolts for 68 1200c

I am working on getting the old bolts out of the truck I'm working, it's a 68 1200C, passenger side cab fill.

Unfortunately I had to cut the bolts in order to drop the original tank. With that being said, I'm trying to figure out how to replace them in order to get a new tank put in.

Sorry I missed this. Hope you got it figured out. 68 1200C Travelette I had the nut inserts spin so I tacked them to the metal around them photo attached.

I thought about tacking in some bolts over the hole locations. Didn't wanna do it if there was a way to get to the other side.

Looks like I'll be doing a bit of welding after I either get a new tank or find a way to repair mine. It's shot all the way around
 
If you can remove the old insert and bolt stub, weld a flanged nut in its place.
Good luck finding a replacement tank, they are rare to find in good condition.
