Anyone have any hints/photo documents of installing a front e-brake to oem disc brakes? Thanks for any suggestions.

You could plumb in a jamar hydraulic line lock.

P.s. This would not be a true emergency brake as that has to be a mechanical and not fluid activated. But if your like most, you just want more then just the rear brakes locked up. Like when stuck on a hill and you need to get out for a better look. They make electric versions too.

I have yet to hear about any one installing a manually operated e-brake setup on the front axle. So it be kinda hard to come by in providing any phot documentation of it. If it has been done, I have not heard of it yet.

A line lock, like what Craig posted has been done. A caliper style brake has been installed at the output yoke of the tranfer case, also has been done.

Thanks guys. I am in the learning phase as I restore my 79 Scout II. I had a e-brake that went to the rear axle but it didnt hold the car at all. I have purchased the "front e-brake" from IH Parts America and hope to figure it out. :)

I will look into how this works. Hadnt heard of it before but I will try anything. I live in Colorado and the car is constantly on a grade, so I need to be able to have positive control of it, especially when I start it.

I think you are mistaken on the part. There are 2 separate cables for the rear e-brake. The front cable goes from the e=brake pedal back to the rear cable. Not for the front axle.
