Front brakes only??

Is it possible to drive the Scout on only the front brakes?it will be for driving around my property (low speed)and will not go on the street. I bought a Scout in parts and I'm slowly getting it back together but there are no brake parts on the rear can I just put fluid in the rear side of the master cylinder and drive it only on the front brakes? Was not sure if this would be negated by the proportioning valve . As always any replies are much appreciated

Thank you for the reply. I have backing plates hooked up and drums. No guts but our ordered a kit from iah america to install. I just don't have any idea how to install it and I could not find any good videos online

The factory service manuals sold here are outstanding and will give you detailed info and photos on how install the brakes. These manuals are a great investment because the teach the theory of operation and show how to use common tools if you don't have the factory xyz special tool to git'er done.

What Scout do you have ? A 80 or a 800 ? I can post pics of the brake assembly for you or email them to you.? Also what rear end do you have ? D-44, tapered ? ( the nut holding the axle on type ? )

Well thank you that would be great. I have a 1978 Scout 2. Try to bleed brakes today and front right and rear left would not blead. I think I'll take everything apart and blow the lines out with compressed air ?

Here ya go ! Hope it helps.if not let me know.
