Ford shock towers

Is the purpose of swapping to Ford towers to gain more travel? If I have the CPT reverse shackle, SOA, and Chevy axles how can I figure out where and what angle to weld the Ford towers?

How can I figure out where to put the bump stops?

Thanks.

We usually mount the shock towers in the same location of the factory shock tower but if you moved your axle forward you will have to move the towers forward as well. Angle them back about 5 degrees.

Bumpstop mounts should be fabbed up last. Determine where your shock is going to bottom out at and set the bumpstop approximately 1"-2"(depends on what bumpstops you are using) below the point of impact.

Here's a good sideview of how we normally mount both our shock towers and bumpstop mounts.

Am ready to mount new shock towers and shocks, do you have any pictures of where the tabs are placed on the axle.. I was going to put the tabs directly on top of the axle, but was conviced otherwise..

I looked around and realized that I don't have a pic of our typical front shock location but when we install them we put the shock tabs either on top or behind the axle.
