flex plate to crank bolts

I'm looking for flex plate to crank bolts for a 345 engine, with a 727 auto tranny, Dana 20, in a '75 Scout II xlc. The ones that I took out were 3/8 24 @ 2 5/8 long. Anyone have a line on where I might be able to find new bolts for this? What I took out are not in "bad" condition, but I'd like to install new, known condition bolts if possible. I'd rather not use grade 8. I haven't contacted arp directly yet, but that might be my last resort. My intended use is for a daily driver, restoration hobby. Thanks for any help or suggestions.

I'm sure yours are fine. That's not an area that typically fails. Plus, they area already some of the strongest bolts on the truck. As long as they aren't rusted or bent, and your intended use doesn't include tranny slams or brake stands you'll be fine. Important to use thread sealer here though (whichever hardware you use). The crank flange penetrates the oil galley, and you'll be real sorry otherwise.

Go on the ihon store and price them,I'll bet you re-use the original's? Those bolt's have been used and re-used,they really don't go bad.Jeff

Thanks for the help and quick replies! I spoke with a current International mechanic who also inspected my bolts and felt they would be more than just sufficient, but in my previous automotive attempts, I've learned that when you leave an unknown unaddressed, it's usually comes back to bite you. This old IH stuff is too cool to not want to know it front and back, yet it's so different from anything else I've ever worked on. (mostly jeeps) so I really appreciate your input. I'll eventually post pics with commentary, once I get my Scout on the road. Thanks again.

Make sure you clean the threads on those bolts very well with brake cleaner or laquer thinner and put a sufficient amount of a sealant (like permatex #2 non-hardening goop) on the threads before installing them. This will prevent oil leaks in the future.
