fine thread bolts

Where in this world can you get some 5/16 fine thread bolts with a flanged head? One inch long... I have been unable to source any with the flanged heads. Zinc plated of course.

I am rebuilding my '64 Scout 80 and it has a mixture of fine thread and course thread bolts throughout the truck.

Proper term is "frame bolt", also different style is "serrated flange head". You are looking for a "fine" thread pitch, aka sae pitch or nf pitch...24 threads per inch (tpi).

Go here:

bolts screws nuts washers and pins - gateway fasteners

Or:

frame bolts, grade 8

All of the links to vendors I posted show fine thread frame bolts on their respective sites...otherwise I would not have posted the link!!!

These are not common hardware store items, this type stuff is used in oem vehicle assembly processes like many of the other fasteners used on any motor vehicle. Home depot...nope. Ace hardware...nope. Your local IH/navistar parts department...of course they have the stuff!

Ya, actually thats not what I am after. Thanks anyway. Its a serated flange head screw in 5/16 fine thread. There was no listing for that on these pages...

There is a black (unplated) frame bolt in the fine thread but I am after the plated ones...
