Emergency brake install

Scout 4 Two

Looking for some advice.
I am replacing my emergency brake system on a 78 Scout II. The foot actuator stays, everything else goes. I purchased a replacement kit from light line of louisiana and am wondering if there are any special tools I will need to do it myself. I believe my main problem is that the cables are original, stretched and not effective. Any special trick to getting the hubs off?

Were ricky and the crew at llol not able to advise as to what would be needed to do this operation? That would be unusual!

Are you simply replacing all the oem parts with fresh oem-type parts? If so, then ya simply remove the rear drums, disconnect the cable ends from the actuators, remove the conduit stops and then remove the entire cable assembly and set aside.

Then reverse that process to install the fresh parts, but the replacement cable assembly must be lubricated before installing.

If you are installing some other type of parking brake actuation system, then we have no way of knowing what you have obtained, go back to the vendor for the parts you purchased.
