Electric Smoker for Long Term

Hi Everyone! Can anyone recommend me best electric smoker for long term. There is no issue of budget at all.

The best smoker uses electric to turn an auger to feed pellets. You'll never get a good smoke ring or bark with an electric smoker. I am partial because I do make smoker pellets. https://winecountry-bbq.com

For long term the Green Mountains can be plugged into a cigarette lighter power outlet in a car to power them. I have a Green Mountian Daniel Boone that I'm very happy with. Just ate a smoked pork chop for lunch.

The problem with the masterbuilt junk is after a couple years they discontinue the parts, especially the digital controllers. I ended up converting mine over to an analog with a 1000 watt burner and plug in controller and put a analog thermo gauge inset into in the door. Have to monitor the temp a bit more frequently in the first hour but works good.

The masterbuilt digital controllers are not waterproof.

Not sure about the traeger style controllers, but my bro in law has one and says the controller feed can stick and he has to cycle power for it to get out of retard mode.

I agree you do get a good flavor but you're right you never get that nice pink smoke ring.
