driving issue

My 1973 4 speed transmission Scout after warming up, idle is excellent ,but issue is cutting out in 3rd gear after driving.
Can you help!
 
I'd start by disconnecting the fuel pipe at the carb and cranking the engine for a few moments. Do you get a good solid stream of fuel?
