Hello all, I am probably about to purchase a '73 Travelall 1110 out of portland. I live in new york, so I can not inspect the rig in person. I was just hoping someone on this forum May know a little something about it. It is currently in the justih.org classifieds. Sorry I cant post pictures of it, I havent saved them to this computer.

The truck is a baby blue color with grey primer spots throughout. Last licensed in washington. It is currently in(or near) portland. The guy who owns it now took it in leu of payment for a body/paint job.

It looks and sounds to be in real good shape, except for the paint and interior. Extraordinary shape by ny standards....freakin road salt:prrr:

any info would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

If it's not to far outside of portland, I'd be willing to go out and look at it for you this weekend, if you wanted.

Egdinger, I appreciate the offer. I May have to take you up on that. I'll get the adress.

Drew, its definatly going to get built if I buy it. I can tell just by the pictures it is going to be 100 times better than any east coast vehicle. My '63 Scout was purchased new by grandfather. It saw mostly farm use with the occasional trip to the city. Parked in '73 and sat untill 2009. I had to replace the floors front to back, inner and outer rockers were gone, rust at the rear quarters, inner and outer front fenders have extensive patch work, the top had rust issues. If it didnt have the family history it would've got scrapped.

Well, I bought this rig. Im waiting on a shipper now.

If anyone is interested I have a full set of Travelall doors and a tailgate that came with this purchase. Unfortunatly I can not have the parts shipped with the truck(against da rules) I'de probably take any reasonable offer on the parts. The parts are in washougal washington. To the best of my knowledge these are in good working order.

Contact me via email if interested

According to the shipping company its both company policy and against gov't regulations. Something to do with customs and smuggling or what have you.

The shipper probably only views this as added weight = less fuel economy.

I would assume the feds are worried about drug trafficing.

I got the truck today. Im happy with it, it carried its own weight 60miles to its new home from the shipping terminal. I was suprised to find that it has a 4" body lift, and is also an all wheel drive model. Not sure what I'm going to do about the body lift...

The doors and tailgate are still in washougal, and are still for sale if anyone's interested.
