Disk Brake conversion question

Installing a disk brake conversion I bought from you and I have a couple of questions.

First, on the clocking the brake caliper is this ok or should I move it down/more towards 3?

Second, I cannot get the loaded caliper on the disk, not enough space between the pads. Is the piston already bottomed out? I tried using a c-clamp, but did not want to force it, or is it threaded and needs to be rotated back?

Third, underneath the inboard pad was a spring, dang thing fell out. I am assumming its for antirattle or something. The open end is suppose to be toward the axle or outboard?

Hope these make sense, thanks.

The clocking of the caliper looks correct. Here is a picture of one we have done here -

On your second question I have found that the caliper needs to have the piston rotated slightly to make a touch more room for the pads. In order to do this the piston needs to be turned clockwise ~ not pushed in like the front calipers on the Scout.

On your third question the open end goes toward the axle.

Let us know if you have any other questions.
